2004 Grand Prix GT2 Transmission Problems!!!

Hi. I have a brand new 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT2. It has about 900 miles on it and the transmission is already acting up! The first time it shifts, the transmission shudders. This does not happen on subsequent shifts. (This appears to be a TSB).

I took it back to the dealer for warranty work (I informed them of the TSB). They decided that one of the seals on the transmission was not properly seated. So they took the transmission apart, apparently checked and cleaned the parts and fixed a leak... They claimed that the transmission was now fixed. I just picked up the car from the shop and the transmission feels EXACTLY the same. It is still shuddering at the first shift. I will be taking it back next week for them to "fix" it again. (I know this shudder is not normal as they gave me a loaner 04 Grand Prix which was perfectly smooth at all shifts).

Does anyone have any idea what the real problem is? Also, because the car is so new, can I demand a NEW transmission, instead of them trying to fix the original?

Thanks.

of course you can request a new transmission. you can also call GM headquarters listed in the back of your owners manual for the dealer not fixing the problem on the first occasion. i am willing to bet you get someone moving for you then.

Yes, but it's unlikely a new transmission will be the result.
