What a shocker today seeing a mint 1959 Bonneville convertible with Tri Power at a car show today. I haven't seen a 59 in about 17 years, let alone a 59 convertible. Last one I saw was gold 4 door hardtop.
It was white with a blue & white interior, blue top, Tri Power emblems on the front fenders, Spot light, power windows & under dash tissue dispenser. The continental kit on the back kind of killed the appearnace of the car somewhat.
Some other beauties there were a 58 Impala Conv't, 61 Impala SS, 65 Gran Prix Tri Power, 41 Cadillac 3 window Coupe, 66 Toronado, 66 Catalina. 66 Charger, 68 Coronet R/T Conv't & twin 64 Galaxie 500 XL's, a hardtop & Conv't.
Despite the 90 degree temps and perfect weather there was a lacking of classifications. There were no Trucks, Street Rods, GTO's, Cutlass's, Firebird's.
There was 1 72 Chevelle, 1 Vette, 1 68 Buick GS, 1 80's Camaro, 4-5 Dodges and a few Fords. More GM's were present than anything else.
There were also two 05 Stangs a GT & a Saleen, & 05 PT Cruiser. and There was some girlie there with a tricked out Fiero.
Tons of vendors in the swap section. No body had a used 97 - 05 Park Ave Service Manual.
Hope the July show is better.
