I've got a 99 Grand Am SE that I've only had two weeks from a dealership. After a heavy rain a couple of days ago, the car started making a "chirping" noise when accelerating (RPM does not seem to matter). The noise only occurs when accelerating. It begins as intermittent at low speeds, and gets more consistent at higher speeds, but goes away when coasting at any speed. It is not present when idling, and does not get more pronounced on turns. In every other respect, the vehicle seems to be functioning fine. Any suggestions as to what this might be, and how much I can expect to pay to make it go away?
