Help on 1999 Pontiac TransAm w/ Manual

In the last couple weeks, I have noticed (intermittedly) that I will get a rattling or grinding sound sometimes after putting the car in gear. My car is not moving when this happens, and the clutch is pushed all the way in. The sound is different than if I was grinding the gears. The car has about 100K miles, almost all highway. The car has not been riden hard. What could be the problem? I do not know much about cars. Thanks.
