Knock sensor - most useless information

I have a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1 FI. My engine codes point to the knock sensor. I want to replace it. The Chilton book is an example of useless information for this component. It only says (I almost quote): a) raise the vehicle, support it safely; b) replace the knock sensor; c) carefully lower the vehicle. Not a diagram, not a picture of where the hell that sensor is.

Any additional information on the web ? Any pictures ?

Its often found on the side of the block in the center. This is where the sensor or sensors are most likely to pick up detonation problems from the combustion chambers.

I'm not a big fan of Chilton either...

Do yourself a favor and pick up a factory GM manual from eBay. The one I purchased for my '90 Bonneville has paid for itself many, many times over.
