Question for AZTEK Owners

Hello, I am looking into getting a Pontiac AZTEK soon and wanted some feedback from Aztek Owners. I'm not sure if I'm getting a new '05 or slightly used (less than 15k mile) '04. I first was leaning towards the used Aztek but it seems the new ones are coming down in price. I know they are being discontinued after this year but what's new? My Fiero and my WS-6 T/A were also axed . Would like to hear from both FWD and AWD Owners. I'm almost sure about getting the AWD model. What are good options to have on an Aztek?Which options are nothing but trouble? What the biggest complaints? Compliments? Thanks

My wife's sister had a '94 and had it had these problems:

Front wheel, hub bearings had to be replaced due to extensive corrosion of the hub material and loosening of the bearing seals. Hubs had to be replaced.

Engine would quit when she was driving it. Minutes later it would start up. Dealer replaced that particular CPU 3 times. I think she told me that the dealer said it had 7 CPU's placed throughout the car. 5 of 7 were replaced. dealer said that other owners had the same problems on their '04's.

The vehicle had about 12,000 miles on it when they told the dealer "enough'. They settled on getting a "deal" on a n '05 and giving back the '04. These aren't lease vehicles.

The '04 ended up be> Hello,

Was that Aztek FWD or AWD? What state was that in? I have heard about bearing/hub problems before. That's why I'm paying for an extended warranty of some sort. Any other Azrek stories out there? Please mention what Year Aztek, model (FWD/AWD), and what part of the country you are in. Thanks

I have an 04 and it is one of the best cars I have ever owned. It rides nice and lots of get up and go. Plenty of room. My only complaint would be I have the optional spoiler and it is hard to see out the back window. This is a nice car, and for the money you can't beat it! The super discount them because people don't like the looks. when I buy cars I want the most bang for my buck! This is it. the only other car I would consider is the Vibe. This is another nice car but alot smaller. I loved the gas mileage I use to get.

It was a FWD. And '04, not '94.

It may not be obvious; it all happened > Was that Aztek FWD or AWD? What state was that in? I have heard about

Fails the bumper test. A friend got tapped in the back this summer, barely even felt being hit. Damage was slightly over $4000

Seems rugged inside so his kids can't destroy it as fast as they did their 97 Malibu.

Good Luck
