Transmission oil cooling installation

Hi, I would like to install a transmission oil cooler for 2000 Sunfire for the family vehicle. There are kits sold at automotive parts, GM and Wal-mart. Which kit should I buy and how difficult to install it? I guess hardware installation does not seem hard but I am concern about transmission oil lines as I don't know which one to tap into.

i'm not going to try to talk you out of doing something that is likely unnecessary and probably very stupid, but all i will say is dont buy it from walmart unless you want to buy a new transmission!

Usually you want to tap into the top coolent line coming out of the radiator.. If ya want to save your self some money you can go to a junk yard and get one off of another car. GET THE BIGGEST ONE THAT WILL FIT BETWEEN THE HEADLIGHTS. Every car that I have owned has had an aux. tranny cooler on it. Its cheap insurance to help prevent tranny troubles. good luck
