Is 6 blue bars on battery icon indicate a full charge?

Green indicates a full charge, or nearly full. Blue indicates it's below full.

But, below full is not a bad thing. It leaves room to store more energy from the regenerative braking system. 6 blue bars is where mine is most often during normal driving.

No, it's not. It's where the car should spend most of its time, inside that middle level of bars.

If it's always green or always red, something's probably wrong.

I don't think I have ever seen red--but maybe that's just because I'm a bit color blind. I take it if I ever get down to just one bar, it will be red?

One bar or two bars will be red, purple, magenta, or pink, depending on who reports the color. Three to six bars are blue, and seven or eight bars are green.

One or two are red. On the way up Palomar Mountain, it gets to red. On the way down, it spends a lot of time in green. Neither one is optimal, as far as either mileage (or, I hear, battery life) is concerned.
