1994 Saab AERO 9000 (TURBO) - Smoke problems after replacing head gasket

This is a 94 Saab (Turbo) AERO 9000 with 125K miles. I have replaced the headgasket couple of weeks ago. Since then white smoke (oil burning) comes out when the car comes to a stop or when it is starting. The white smoke is 'visible'- so much visible- that a cop stopped me the other day and asked me to get an e- check. I am puzzled? Can u help? Do you think there is some problem with the turbo part?

Failing turbo? Did you get the head checked for cracks, flatness?

FWIW, generally oil smoke is described as being a bluish grey and white smoke is coolant being burned.

Listening to what you describe, sounds like the head gasket has gone again, and coolant is getting into the combustion again.

Quite, which is why I was questioning the head and whether it had been checked for flatness/cracks.
