9-3 Audio Upgrade: anyone has experience?

People

I'm happy with my new 9-3SS 16v BUT the audio (basic system with two front and two back speakers) really sucks. Should have spent more money to have at least the 7 speakers system. I found in the Saab Accessories Catalogue a "9-3 Audio Upgrade" for the former model of the 9-3 (up to MY 04). Does anyone know whether it will also fit the Sport Sedan? Anyone tried it yet and has something to tell about how it improved sound quality? The booklet of my sport sedan stresses the importance of the center speakers so I have some doubt that adding only a couple of door speakers and an extra 40W amplifier will make a significant difference.

Thanks for any input.

Let's just say that when it comes to standard - and even extra audio systems that you pay more for - from any car manufacturer, Saabs are the cars that sucks the least. You should instead go to a specialist car audio store, and get some real speakers and amps like pioneer or alpine. It will be cheaper and better than anything Saab can whip up, and if the store is the least good, they will fit the speakers in the original holes.
