9000 Clutch/Flywheel

Hi,

i finally found some time to take the gearbox out, and i found the clutch in a pretty devastated state, there were metal bits and plates all around :) so i have a 2.0T, but i would like to install the clutch from a 2.3T, my clutch has a diameter of 228 mm, the one of the 2.3 would have 240mm, i cant quite imagine that fitting on the flywheel i have now, so my questions:

is the 2.0 flywheel different from the 2.3 flywheel? will the 2.3T (240mm) clutch fit on my 2.0 flywheel? where can i get a 2.3 flywheel and how much can i expect to pay? will the 2.3 flywheel fit? i think spline is the same and as everything

-93 is supposed to be compatible in that area this is not going to be a problem.

reason for this upgrade is that the torque my engine is putting out is probably too much for the smaller, weaker clutch.

bye

How about an uprated clutch for a 2,0T instead?

Hi,

hm, ive been thinking about it too, but iw ould have to buy just the clutch disc, which can be had from AP for example, and that makes around 230 euros + i still need the clutch kit for 200 euros and i will have a stock disc laying around ... on the other hand a complete sports clutch from sachs can be had for around 500 euros, but i might need the 2.3 flywheel anyways in that case. i just have my car in the medium range for 2.0T power outputs, around 200hp, with around 330 Nm so even if i take it a bit further to say 230 hp/360 Nm, the 2.3T clutch would still be good for it. i will sleep over it for a day, but thanks for your input.

bye
