Chip Tuning non-turbo 900s

Does anyone know about ECU chips for the non-turbo 2.0 130 SAAB 900S. It's a 1993, but it's the "new" type. Are there any other recommendable upgrades? I've been thinking of a K&N filter, maybe the

57-0113 kit. Also a sports exhaust would be nice... :-) I live in Oslo, so eastern Norway and western Sweden is OK for travelling. Thanks in advance for help!

Sorry to be obvious - but why waste time, energy and money trying to squeeze 10 extra bhp out of your car, when you can sell it and buy a turbo version and still be better off financially?

Why is that your business? Why waste YOUR time, energy and money preaching YOUR morals here?

I thought he was making a rather sensible, non-judgemental suggestion. Why so touchy?

But the OP might not necessarily be after more bhp, just more noise will do.

Good point. I hadn't even considered that. It just goes to show what can happen when you post before you consider *all* the possibilities.

In a very real sense, it is Grunff's business! You Shanghai, posted to the group. And thus, you, Shanghai made it his business.

You owe a very sincere apology to Grunff. I, personally, have not seen your post in this group before:but then I have only been arournd some six to nine months.

However the scope, quality and depth of Grunff's posts must be invaluable to all of us neophytes out here. You thoughtless abusecould cost us all a very valuable resource who shares his knowledge so freely. As he does with his dry humour too.

There have been many other helpful, knowledgable posts. That is what this group is about.

If you cannot be civil, then stay out. We need the Grunff's of this world. You do not seem to need, want or deserve them.

Thanks for your very kind words Malcolm - believe me when I say there are a lot of people on this group who know a whole lot more about Saabs than I do.

But I assure you - I ain't going anywhere. Too many nice people around here, and my killfile handles the rest quite well.

Cheers.

Hi,

like already said, chip-tuning is not very efficient for your engine, you should invest the money in koni or bilstein shocks, tires, Powerflex wishbone bushes strut braces or something like that. that will make your car definately sportier and being able to corner 20% faster is always better than 10 more horsepowers.

bye
