End reduction difference between 4 and 5 gear versions of 9-5

The 9-5 got a 5 gear automatic instead of the 4 around 2003MY, right?

Does anyone here know if the 5 gear version has a longer 5th then the

4th in the 4 gear versions??? In other words, does the 5 gear version run lower revs in the highest gear?

Thanks, NF

I found there's a value for the speed in highest gear @1000rpm in the manual the 4-speed auromatic @ 1000rpm = 46 - 47 km/h , the 5 gear version does 48 - 49 km/h

That would mean these values at cruizing speed.

-------

2500 rpm --> 115 3500 rpm --> 161

5-speed @ 1000rpm =

-------

2500 rpm --> 120 3500 rpm --> 168

Not much of a difference. Not enough to make it worth my while to spend more on a 2003 model anyway, exept for the steering wheel gear change buttons.
