feels like my 2001 saab 93 is going to stall at lights

I have a 2001 saab 93 automatic transmission. WHen i come to a red light/stop sign it feels as though the car is going to stall, ...i watch the tachnometer dive and then shoot back up when it seems to come back to life. What could this problem mean? If you need more info just holla.

I'm sure the problem was one or the other of thowse expensive parts, not both. I think you was had...
