I think I'm in love with this one.

Sellers says she thinks it is an FPT (and it has the boost gauge) But as usual there are problems. No history. Jumps out of 3rd when given some beans, sometimes. Start of rust along the bonnet edge.

But that appears to be it according to Charlie, the seller.

Ooh! That is nice. If it comes at "the right price", the issues can readily be sorted with the remainder of the cash you would be prepared to pay on the car ... If you see what I mean.

Thats what I was thinking. I do know what price she wants. And as the faults aren't mentioned in the auction listing, I also know what Aero cabrio Turbos fetch. She may be surprised at what it goes for, compared to what it she wants.

LOL, yep. I have a feeling it is totally solid, but needs some work, and I need to be prepared to put it straight in and bite the bullet after driving home, rather than use it until totally broken., then pay more.

Carl, she looks fine. If you're confident you can buy her and put her right for the money you have, do it now!

Stop thinking aloud and go for it, that's how I got my C900 Aero. I knew when I bought her I'd have work to do and I was right. BUT despite the extra expense I love her to bits and won't part with her. I phoned the ebay seller up, and we agreed a price, he withdrew it from ebay, "job's a good un" as they say.

Sometimes you just have to go with your heart, whatever logic is telling you.

I don't know about you, but for me it's a lot easier to get the mechanical stuff in tip top condition than it is to fix up cosmetic wear & tear.

LTP though, and, as you say, you will be hard pressed to find one 100% to your needs/desires

Hmm true. But a mint C900 cabrio, even with a blow engine is going to be about twice what these are fetching.

I can see myeself ending up with a NG900 coupe, or a 9000, rather than a Cabrio.

See that is it. If I was to find one C900 vert in price, I should be happy. But no, I want a minter for the price of a parts car. I don't want to get stung for a lot of the usual work that needs doing, but I don't have the budget for a real show car. It's painful. So many coming up that are potentially almost right but not quite. While I know the grey one will need the box done, then I can't drive it. The black one needs the leather doing, so I won't feel right in it (you can very self concious in convert if aren't one hundred percent comfortable). The Yellow is a bit in your face even though it is the better option. I don't mind being seen, but no need to shout "Yoohoo, over here" is there. And it had no aero kit. And the blue one is an LPT, so not what I was after at all so it would always be the compromise. I have to admit it the Monte yellow one is probley the best car, the closest to me, the most reasonably priced for condition.
