Need CD Changer 1997 900 s

is the Clarion DC625 easy to install and is it compatible with 900 s? Where is the cheapest place to get one. Saab dealer wants 500$ for cd changer.

I used Clarion CD 634. It's cheaper than the equivalent CD 625/635 models, as it lacks optical output (the feature I have no use for). The wiring was already there in the trunk. Took about 15 minutes to find the connector, then just plug it in and done.

The unit that you would buy from SAAB comes with the special mounting cage that will fit right in. The aftermarket Clarion units come with mounting brackets, but they do not fit SAAB, so fastening the changer will be a problem.

Strangely, SAAB also charges $25 for a spare cd magazine, which is just a plastic box which is being sold everywhere for $6.
