Re: choice of tires

Thanks. I actualy got the idea from Tire Rack and I'm just asking the Saab experts here about them.

I have occasionally thought about getting a spare set of rims for my other tires, but it's always seemed to me that it would only make financial sense if I could get them really cheap at a junkyard. The price at Tire Rack was over $100 per tire, and I would never make that up in saving changeovers.

Last month I installed 4 new Michelin HydroEdge tires on my 1994 9000CSE. These are the best tires I ever had on any car. They arte very responsive, unbelievable traction in rain and very precise in handling. They are also rated at 140,000 km (87,000 mile) and treadwear of 740. The only down-side is they transmit more road irregularities and bumps than some other softer tires.

I highly recommend these tires.
