Re: Relocating the radio

With the top DIN slot now empty, find yourself some nice gauges or a coffee

Or if like me, you've nuilt a PC into the car, a decent (when it becomes available) VGA, Touchscreen, 7" widescreen motorised monitor.

All the motorised or pop out screens so far are composite (fine for Playstation, DVD etc, but clunky for PC), and too pricey, but I know of a company that is going to produce a VGA motorised one that would foul the gear lever in the lower slot, and be harder to read too.

Can't wait for that to be available.

Show off :P

On the subject of what to do with the empty DIN slot, I understand some Mercedes models have a nice dual cup holder and accessories/small change tray as an all-in-one DIN unit. If Pete gets his radio moved and finds a Merc in a scrapper he could get the automatic dimming rear view mirror out of it as well :) The last 900 I looked at to buy had one of these mirrors and it worked great - I test drove it at about 9 PM last February.

Cheers,

Paul
