Squeaks and rattles.

Any idea while the the front seats would squeak and creak going over bumps and ruts?

It's an 85 900 T16S. Passenger seat does it even with no one in it, but the bolts are all tight. Drivers seat is the early type with the bolts at the front which clamp down the height adjuster hinges while the rear slot sliding pins into metal loops.

Anything I can do to cut down on creaking other than let off some of the damping on the adjustable shocks and have the car wallow arround like an old jelly?

It's the headrest on my passenger seat that rattles. I leave it down and just have to put up with the squeaking if a passenger needs it up.

Just a thought.

Nah, they are pretty solid and stil nice and stiff in movement.

The rattle comes from the base of the empty passenger seat, and the squeaks come from the base of mine (and the passenger if occupied) when driving over bumpy roads (most of Cheshire it seems).
