Standard CD Changer Question

Just picked up '97 900S convertible.

Before picking car up, had 90K maint done on car. (It's at 85K, and I had the money)

So, problem Load CD Changer, press CD in radio . .. no response. Eject, and load of CDs looks fine. Wire behind rear wheel well look fine. Is there perhaps a connection I am missing. Before selling me the car, could the dealership have unhooked the cables behind the stereo board??

Are there specific cables I'm looking for in the wheel well?? All I see is something that looks like cable to defrost the hood in the winter.

AND YES I'm happy to be back in a Saab! This was my dream car (albeit

7 years ago), and now I have one. Got a great deal, and it is YUM!!

Thanks in advance to all you audio gearheads. Sorry if this is an easy question . . .

Never mind, just went through old usenet messages. Think I found it at . . .

Here are the steps to follow to get the CDC working again:

1) disconnect wiring harness from CDC

2) remove radio fuses 9 and 13 (have radio code available before you do this step)

3) replace radio fuses afer 30-45 minutes or so

4) turn ignition to 'on'

5) turn radio 'on'

6) enter appropriate 4 digit radio code

7) turn radio 'off'

8) turn ignition to 'off'

9) plug wiring harness back into CDC

10) turn ignition to 'on'

11) turn radio 'on'

12) select CD by pressing CD button
