Thanks to the group

My '88 900S has finally come to the end of the road. I've owned it since day one, and it was such a great car. Underbody rust has made it unsafe to drive according to my mechanic. Whenever I had a question, this group was always there to answer and give advice. I just wanted to say thank you very much to the group!

Sorry to hear it Art, there comes a time when the merciful thing to do is to put a round between the headlights and pull the radio. Being the right thing to do isn't always the easiest to do though - regrets.

Well, there's no need to say goodbye. C900s make excellent second hand cars, too!

Art,

There are frame restoration techniques to get the Saab back to showroom condition in no time and it's not all that expensive.

What other Saab do you have lined up if you do decide to get rid of the car? Also, if you get rid of the car, you obviously could not sell it to someone in the current condition, so you should "Part it out" as others could enjoy the good parts of the car. Kind of like being a "Heart donor" if you die. You know? You could help save a life.

He might be able to sell it "as is, where is." Or, donate it to a charity that takes old cars.

May I recommend that you read Isaac Asimov's short story "Sally".
