I want to fit a towbar to my '97 NG900 and rather than hacking up the wiring with those awful self-cutting crimp connectors (Scotchlock?) I wanted to get a Saab wiring loom that plugs into a pre-wired connector in the main vehicle loom.
However, the problem is that the Saab part is design for a 13-pin socket and my trailer has the older 7-pin plug 12(N).
Does anyone know if it is both possible and wise to alter the wiring of the towing socket in this way?
