2001 LW200 Rear-ended

Our 2001 LW200 was pushed 8 feet up the hill from it's curbside spot Sunday morning. Our evil old neighbor was adjusting the seat of his son- in-law's Ford Expedition and accidentally floored the car in reverse.

He swerved out of his driveway, across the street and nailed the Saturn wagon dead center in the rear hatch.

Fortunately the car only had the emergency brake on and was in neutral so it sort of bounced up the hill from the impact.

I am waiting for the adjusters to look at it, and it is obvious it will need a new rear bumper and associated hardware and a complete rear hatch. Inside, the cargo panel is pushed forward and the rear seats no longer have the spacing they had at the hinge, so I am fearing the entire cargo area has been crumpled.

Looks like the market value of the car is between $5k and $9k ... so i am thinking there is a high chance of the insurance company totalling the car. of course something like the Outlook is gonna run us $30k!
