2003 Saturn VUE

Looked at a 2003 Saturn VUE 4cyl. from dealer. Can anyone make suggestions on what to watch for? Problems, etc. Trading my 1991 Saturn with 194,000 mi. Good car! Thanks in advance, Kathy

I have been driving a 2003 Vue for a year and love it. It is a front wheel drive, 6 cyl. Iv'e had to drive it on snowy roads in the Blue Ridge Mountains with no problems. I don't believe in 4-wheel drive. It uses too much gas. I get 25.5 mpg on mountain roads The only problem I've had was a whistle in the windshield which was finally solved at no cost. Previously, I drove a van with lots of bells and whistles, which I miss, but for pracitcality, this is IT. The Service Dept. has gone out of their way to help me. I have taken 2, 500-mile trips and it was the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven. I was not tired when I arrived. That's saying a lot for a 5'1" person. However, I wish it had power seats.

I have a 2004 6 cyl AWD, and think a lot of it. It drives well, has enough room for the stuff I carry around, and it gets reasonable mileage for its size (23-ish). It's been quite reliable so far (a little less than 6500 miles).

Hopefully the trend will continue. My wife is considering replacing her car with the hybrid when it comes out....so she can carry stuff and not waste gas while driving around town.
