97 Saturn SC2 - 4 Cylinder Engine Connecting Rod Bolts

Dear Fellow Listers...

I'm trying to find an alternate source (other than the dealer) for connecting rod bolts for this engine, but am not having any luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Bartek

Well, I guess they'd be OK if they are new and never had been torqued. Once they've been torqued and stretched, they are no longer safe for use on the big ends of connecting rods. Same goes for aircraft engines. Con rod bolts typically cost about $10 apiece or more for aircraft engines.
