98 S-series horn question

Is there a common problem with these? Our 98 SL-2 had the second horn die. I will get a replacement tomorrow. On the first the electronic relay failed. Will find out what happened to the replacment when it comes out of the car.

sometimes there can be a problem with moisture getting in the horn, the OEM horns on s-series, especially SC's will sound like a sick goose or just fail when this happens. Fortunatelly, the horns are all made by FIAAM, so you can get a better, inexpensive replacement at your local parts store.

I realized this after I had relays, fuses and horns checked and replaced, changed the horn and no problem since.

I put a set of Fiamm horns on my 96 SL2. Plenty loud.

Thanks for the tip. Which FIAAM horn did you folks use and did it have the same funky 2-pin connector?

exact same connectors, I use the "freeway blaster low decibel" I think its called. $12 Discount Auto. A bit louder than the OEM, keeps idiots in thier own lanes, lol.

I used a 2-horn set. I used the original circuit to energize a second relay that then energizes both horns. I did put a fuse in the new circuit.
