check profile of LEMON LOVERS "advice"

I suggest that it would be smart to CHECK THE PROFILE of some of those who give out "information" on this board.

You just may find a LEMON LOVER who has a financial interest in repairing lemons. They aren't going to acknowledge that the flaw in your car is really an EPIDEMIC FLAW in manufacturing. Their livelihood is dependent on YOU and others buying those lemons- especially used ones. Think how used car sales would suffer if buyers were better informed. So they may make light of your lemon as an occassional "fluke" or they may attack a victim for suggesting (or presenting evidence),on this board, that their lemon is not one of a kind.

Not to mention a name- but a guy with 25 years of repair experience could be expected to retire in Traverse City, Michigan- rather than inner city Detroit (as a retired garbage collector)-were it not for YOU, unknowingly buying an epidemic lemon, that finally broke down with you holding an expired warranty!

And your point would be?

Check the cost of an extended warranty. The higher the cost- the higher the likelihood that the insurance company knows your car is piece of crap and that they will have to pay out on it!

Find a reputable (preferably retired) mechanic who knows the REPAIR HISTORY of the car you are thinking of buying- and is willing to share that information with you!

I'm sure that's perfectly clear.
