**HELP** CODE 26 Transmission Code - Car Starts then Dies

I have made earlier post about the 91 DOHC Automatic that starts then dies. NOW I am getting a Error/Diagnostic Code 26 about the TCC being stuck. Would this be the cause of the start and then die condition? Car shakes when it starts. Maybe the stuck TCC is causing the engine to die after a 1-2 second start?

Is the TCC part of the Valve Body, or am I looking at a new tranny or rebuild?

Thx in advance for whatever advice you have to offer !!!!

TCC stands for Torque Converter Clutch. It gives you a 1 to 1 ratio between your engine and your transmission. Either the Torque converter will need to be pulled or what ever is engaging it needs to be addressed.

Most of the time when the TCC sticks, it does it when the car goes into lock up, and then won't come out, causing a stall situation when you come to a stop (kinda like coming to stop with a manual trans and not pushing the clutch in). Once the car stalls, it will restart ok and drive normal until it goes into lock up again. You can get around that problem by disconnecting the TCC connector. But since yours stays stuck from the go, I would say you have some internal trans trouble.
