Recommend a dealer for repairs in Mass/R.I.?

I've got a 99 SL1 that's been giving me major transmission problems (slipping, not wanting to go into the right gear when accelerating, high RPMs at random times, etc.) Brought it to my local mechanic who's recommending a new transmission. Luckily, thanks to the wonder that is the Internet, I realize it probably doesn't need a new tranny -- more likely it just needs a solenoid, or maybe an alternator.

I learned from my reading that I'm definitely going to be better off bringing it in to an authorized Saturn dealer for repairs -- so my only question now is, can somebody recommend a dealer in central/southern Mass who they've had good experience with -- or does anyone have any particular dealer they'd tell me to avoid?

I live near Worcester (in Lunenburg, actually) but my boyfriend lives down near Woonsocket, RI, and I can swap out cars with him if I need to, so I'd like any recommendations convenient to either of those places.

Thanks a lot, everyone!

I HIGHLY recommend Saturn of Hadley. I used to work there and I am still in contact with Dee the Service Manager there. My son still takes his car there to have work done.

Thanks for the advice!

(scowl) Hadley, hmm? Now I have to decide whether your recommendation is enough to make me drive out there ... farther than I really wanted to, but on the other hand, even with gas as expensive as it is, it's still cheaper than doing what the original mechanic wanted and putting in a whole new tranny!

I do not have an answer to your question, but want to praise you for your good thinking. Going to an all purpose mechanic is a mistake with most modern vehicles. They are complex and quirky enough that your really want people who are familiar with your specific kind of vehicle. For many vehicles this can mean a good indepedant brand/type specialist. Sometimes the only good choice is a dealer.
