2007 Woodward Dream Cruise

The Avanti Owners Association, International (AOAI) has reserved 20 spaces for the Birmingham, Mich. Car Show to be held on Saturday Aug

18th during the 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. Birmingham is at 15 mile and Woodward approximately half way through the Cruise route which runs from the State Fair Grounds at 8 mile and Woodward to the City of Pontiac.

If you have never been to the Suburban Detroit Woodward Dream Cruise you don't know what you are missing. Woodward Avenue from Ferndale to Pontiac is lined on both sides with magnificent classic and custom automobiles. It's a 16-mile long car show that is educational, historic and fun for all ages. The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day celebration of car culture that attracts over

1.7 million visitors, and more than 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest The Birmingham Car Show is expecting over 1000 cars with special displays by both Chevrolet and Ford. In the past GM Ford and Chrysler have all displayed many unique cars including some very rare concept cars. GM has gone so far as to display AND CRUISE the prototype concept turbine powered Firebird I and firebird II

This mid-summer classic celebrates the heydays of the 50's and 60's when Woodward was the heart and soul of American cruising in the city that put America on wheels. Combined with the music and fashions of the era, the Woodward Dream Cruise celebrates the nostalgia of bygone days in the cars that made them so special.

Cruisers and spectators will be driving along a 16-mile route of nine communities including Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac and Royal Oak.

The cruise itself is free and they are a multitude of free and not free activities available in the towns along the route. The car show however cost $20 per car. Parking outside the show along or near the cruise route is next to impossible. Signing up for the car show ate $20 gives you the best parking spot along the whole cruise in addition to entry in the car show. AOAI will give our reserved spaces out on a first come first serve basis to the first 20 people to sign up.
