Front end kit - Slick street stuff

Thinking about one of the bolt on front end kits from slick street stuff. What experience has anyone had with these kits?

Here's a good read over on the SDC Forum...

Definitely worth a look, by all means.

blacklarkviii It was designed by a racer in Virginia. He did it on his 53,54 or 55

Yes, the designer was Melvin Ghant(sp?), from Richmond, VA. He's a race car fabricator and quite a capable individual. Members of the lower Virginia Chapter's know him. It's unfortunate the person on the SDC forum is having such a problem with Rene's equipment. Might be the car, itself, has a problem.

This Kit is badly engineered , inherently weak , unsafe and has steering geometry that will never work . The ford stub axles and steering arms are designed for a front mounted rack which is not possible on Studebaker , if you like living avoid this rubbish
