So it's ok for government employee to shoot people when the agents are not in danger and when they are not sure if the person is guilty of anything????

The guy was a known smuggler and they had reason to believe he could be armed (if in fact he wasnt'). On top of that he had no business or right at all being where he was, that is in the United States.

If they had killed the SOB that would have been the end of it, the officers and we would be better off.

I'm not sure McCain is a liberal but he's sure no conservative!

He doesn't want to do anything meaningful about securing the border and wants an amnesty program for people already here who have no business being here, with no serious consequences for the illegals here who don't want to go along with his (and Kennedys) program.

That is a recipe for making the flood of illegals worse.

He also doesn't believe in the Constitution, if he did he NEVER would have supported that excreable McCain-Feingold law.

If I walk into a voting booth in 2008 and have a choice between McCain and Hillary after I get physically ill I'll vote Libertarian (again).

I just challenge people to give rational reasons for what they say, or to think about what they say.

Nice name calling, but you didn't answer the question.

All I'm asking is for some rational thought instead of emotional reacting. I will go over it real slow.

  1. They did not know he was a smuggler.
  2. They did not know he had drugs in the car.
  3. They did not know he had no right to be in the United States.
  4. If they had killed him they would not be better off, they would be facing murder charges. So we are right back to my orginal point. What you are advocating is for government employee to shoot people when they are not in danger and when they are not sure if the person is guilty of anything other than running away.

The guy was running from the cops, something no honest citizen does (and of course Aldrete-Davila is neither honest nor a citizen).

Agent Ramos head shots fired and saw his partner hit the ground.

He then thought he saw a gun in Aldrete-Davila's had so he fired.

Aldrete-Davila ran off into the brush.

A few days later his mommy calls complaining that her poor innocent little boy got shot in the ass, and things went downhill from there.

No doubt DHS Agent Sanchez is trying to make a name for himself... wonder if he's any relation to Durham DA Mike Nifong.

It's too bad Ramos wasn't a better shot, then Aldrete-Davila could have crawled off into the brush and died like the sorry rat he is.

Your false statement that only aliens who paid iinto SS will be the only ones getting it. I know how things work in DC, and how corruption sets in. There are already tens of thousands of immigrants who never paid a dime into it who are getting SSI.

It is well known that the border area is an extermely dangerous area where extremely violent drug smugglers operate, and agents have been shot at. The agents, both of whom were Hispanic BTW, told the subject to stop, and he fled. Fleeing is not an indication that a person is innocent, and law enforcement officers do not like people who run from them. Why would an innocent person flee for no reason when you can be arrested for fleeing an officer? When the man turned and pointed what appeared to be a weapon at the officers, they did what they should have done, and fired. The Fed. prosecutor must be a Clinton appointee. BH

First you say it was a false statement, then you imply that it is not happening now but will in the future due to corruption. You are very confused as those are two contradictory statements Then you try to trick people with a bait and switch trick by talking about "immigrants" when we were originally talking about "illegal" immigrants. Nice try but I'm smarter than that. We have paid social security to some legal immigrants, a program started back at least in the early 70's when we were encouraging Cubans to flee their country. This may still be going on but it has nothing to do with the bill that was in question, and which only applied to illegal aliens who had worked here and paid into the system. In fact, illegal aliens pay 7 billion a year into SS and medicare and get nothing in return.

He was running from the border patrol, not the cops. It is not a capital crime to run from either the cops nor the border patrol.

You still don't get it do you. They didn't know he was a rat.

No contradiction on my part, just a reading comprehension issue on your part, smart guy.

Legal immigrants who never paid in are drawing SS now. Once the bill is passed to allow SS to illegals who paid in, the illegals who did not pay in will get it too. That is how it works in DC:Coddle the criminal and pamper the parasite. That is why I do not trust the politicians. This country owes nothing to law breakers & giving them SS will only encourage more of them to come here. BH
