i have the front disk conversion on my speedster. repacked the
bearings and am having second thoughts.
when i did the work, i noticed a sizable void around the spindle once
i took the bearings out. i couldn't really get in there to clear it
out so wiped what i could with a clean cloth and put some grease in
the void followed by a reinstall...
did i do ok? should i remove the brake calipers and pack that void?
please reply privately to jamesmichaelgreen@att.net
many, many, many thanks! :-)

Re: re-packing bearings question
cleaned, and repacked with fibrous wheel bearing grease.
The spindle should be cleaned and wiped off.
The voids should not be filled with grease.
Too much grease will mean that the warm air, as it expands, will push
on the grease and it will ooze out of the seal lip.
You cannot properly grease the bearings by squirting grease in between
the wheel bearings.
