Anybody know what size tires came on a 58 Silver Hawk?

Believe they were 7.50x14 bias ply. I'll see if I can find out for sure. Paul Johnson

Correct, Paul: 7.50X14. That was replaced by 7.75X14 in 1965 and that became F78X14 circa 1969. BP

Sorry about that! I just looked on my tire on my 1958 Hawk and it said F78 14" when I replied

I put some G78x15 wide whitewall tires on my Power Hawk in 1975 made by Firestone and cost a whopping $25 each. They remained on the car through the early 1990's despite having widespread age cracks. The fifth tire remains in the trunk as a spare and is like new (no cracks).

Per the 1958 Salesman's Data Book; Silver Hawk 6: 6.40x15 std., 7.50x14 opt. and Silver Hawk V8: 7.50x14 std., 6.70x15 opt.
