Wagonaire frame swap question

Hi Guys, If I wanted to put a new frame under a 64/65 Wagonaire, would it have to be another Wagonaire frame,or would some other model work?? Are there repo floor pans available for it? THANKS!!

AFAIK, only a Wagonaire frame will work, since the Wagonaire is the only 113" wheelbase frame to sport an X-member. A Cruiser frame has the same wheelbase, I think, but lacks the X-member. You might be able to move the X-member from the old Wagonaire frame to a Cruiser Frame, but I think it'd be a huge task.

Again AFAIK, floor pans for other Lark types will work in the front seating area. Don't know if there are any made for the cargo space.

There are some "parts" Wagonaires on eBay at the moment. Maybe you could find a frame donor?

The sliding roof cars had the X-member, the non-sliders had a conventional frame. Of the two '63s on eBay, the rose mist car needs a frame, but was mechanically excellent and had new rear quarter panels. Another frame was being prepared for it, but the owner died, so these cars are now part of an estate sale. The township gave then 30 days to clean up the yard. A person would need to contact the seller, to find out what is all included, or could be negotiated.

The wagons that are for sale were my fathers. Both have good front fenders, no seem rust. Lots of good parts. The interior of the Rose Mist one has had Fingerhut covers on since they bought it in 64. Also have a 1964 frame that has had all new lower plates installed and POR-15 coated.
