Autozone does the V8 pumps with your old cores. (about $45)

Thanks to everybody who replied - I figure it's better to get originals rebuilt, have heard too many tales of not-quite-right repops.

check the clearance per the shop manual, I've heard tell of pumps coming through (not sure if they are originals or all new) with the impeller pressed on incorrectly, they can be adjusted with a decent gear puller though.

The current crop of new pumps are as good or better than the originals. I sent a load of water pumps to Mark Frank @ M&D Studebaker in Lorena, TX a couple of years ago, and he did a good job on them for a reasonable price. His machine shop is the place to go in Texas for Studebaker engine work.
