WAY WAY OFF TOPIC-Baseball Ticket Prices

formatting link
I don't want to sound as dumb as I am, but take a look at this site. Scan over the seats, and tell me that tickets to a simple baseball game are now outrageous. I came across this by accident, and cannot believe anyone would pay over $500 a seat for a game. Scan the stadium on the right side and see the prices.

Been this way for years. Go to just about any professional (or large university) stadium seating chart and see what they're charging. They have to pay these multi-million dollar players on the team somehow.

WOW! I thought tickets to a game were getting a bit high in Cinti. We have a good deal going here I guess. We have the new stadium that is really nice, not really a bad seat in the place. Danny and I went to Opening Day, which is a big deal to baseball fans in Cincy, and I paid 23.00 per ticket. Of course that was a deal thru the Reds Rooters club, of which I'm a member, and the seats were up there near the top, but not bad. I think the expensive seats are $150 to $175 and that's behind home plate and they have "wait staff" so you don't have to leave your seat other than to get rid of the beer you drink for that price. I don't know who sits there, but for about $30 - $40 per ticket, you can get great seats for a Reds game. We had sticker shock when we went to Wrigley 12 years ago....can't imagine what prices are like there now! glad I live in the cheap midwest, even if it is the rust belt. And glad I don't buy Bengals tickets as I don't donate to their criminal defense fund!

The last time I was at Yankee Stadium was in 1995. A ticket in the loge was $18. It goes for $68 now!

Two words. Barry Bonds. I dont pay much attention to the Giants but as he gets closer to breaking Hank Aarons home run total I'm willing to wager that anything he hits into the seats(he is a left handed batter...hence right field prices)will command serious dollars in the collectible field.

That web site is Stub Hub. They are resellers of tickets. They buy low and sell high. May be wrong but I think thats the way it works.

Did you check the prices at ground level behind the plate? As high as $2250 each.
