Big Deal! I got 29 mpg with my 04 outback and a regular auto trans fully loaded on a cross country trip and average 24-25 in daily highway driving. Will the CVT hold up? Buy that extended warranty for sure!

I don't think we quite get your city mileage (more like 20-21) but our highway mileage is similar. 26-28 w/2 adults, some luggage, at 70-80mph.

City-ish driving I use low acceleration and lots of coasting, any time I use the brakes I consider it to be 'wasted energy', but yet seem not to get in people's way.

Hell, the H6 will coast at idle at what, 15 or 20 or so, so maintaining 30 or 35 needs very little throttle.
