30K transmission fluid flush and filter? 2002 Forester L

I am trying to search around for a place to do my 30K 2002 Subaru Forester transmission fluid flush and filter change (There is a filter under my car that says transmission) but when I call, and ask if there transmission flush and fill includes the filter they say there is no serviceable filter they can change, and if there is one under the car I would need to have subaru do it. Can anyone assist and advise me is it easy enough to do my own transmission change is it like changing the oil? since there is a filter, or am I not explaining myself enough to Jiffy Lub, Casey's automotive, ACE transmission, etc...

That filter should only be replaced as part of rebuilding the transmission. TG

The trans has a drain plug. The filter is NOT to be changed plus it's some $25. Check your use manual for the type of fluid. there are different types. I would go to a reliable place or pay the price for the dealer. The clowns they seem to hire at Jiffy lube will say anything and put in whatever trans fluid they have in the shop. The trans is quite pricey and so are lawyers.
