BODY LIFT KIT

I own a '96 Legacy L and I wanted to put a body lift kit on it to raise it up a couple of inches. Does anyone (besides scorpion) have such a thing that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Scorpion wants around $700 for theirs. Ouch! I've looked at plain old truck lift kits and I can buy just the spacers for cheap but I can't figure out the spacer for the struts. They're rotary valve shaped like a curved triangle. I'd also need instructions on where to put the spacers since I have no knowledge of how to raise a unibody frame. I've emailed scorpion asking them to sell me just the plans to make my own but they never respond to me. They don't even say "Leave me alone!" or anything.

It costs $700 because it's a lot more complicated than plain old truck lift kits. Surely it's going to cost you so much time, checking, trial and error and troubles registering your car if you try and invent such a thing yourself?

I don't really blame them for not responding to someone who is so cheap as to avoid paying for their product but then asks them to sell them their design plans for less! What a ridiculous suggestion. Doesn't deserve to be answered.
