HELP: Trim piece for '02 Outback Limited Sedan

Hello all,

I'm in need of a little help, and I'm hoping this group can point me in the right direction. Last week we got some snow here in good old Northeast PA (like that's a shocker), and while snowblowing I accidentally bumped into the girlfriend's car.... and caused a nice slash in the Front passenger-side door accent piece of her 2002 Outback Limited. She keeps the car in immaculate condition, and I felt horrible for having caused the only visible flaw on the vehicle.

I'm not all that well versed in the different Subaru models, but I believe hers is the 2002 Outback Limited Sedan, in the two-tone White/Gold paint scheme. Or maybe they consider the second color "platinum" instead of calling it gold... not really sure on that one.

In any case, the part that I caused damage to was the plastic accent molding piece that's dead set in the center of the door, which has the "Outback" emblem on it. I was going to just go to Subaru directly and buy the piece new, but I'm not sure if they would sell the piece naked and I would have to take it to a body shop to be color matched. If that were the case I would be looking at some serious bucks before the whole thing is all said and done.

So I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of where to possibly acquire one of these pieces (used or new), preferrably already in the matching paint scheme for this car. The piece in question is in the gold/platinum finish. Like I said, this piece sits on the very center point of the door, right before the upper White color begins, and it does have the "Outback" emblem on it. And the piece in question would be for the passenger-side front door.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Im afraid you won't find too many in the junk yard. I would check with your local collision shop or the dealer.
