Subwoofer on Tribeca Limited

So I see that there is a dealer installed subwoofer amplifier that can be installed under the driver seat. Is that in addition to the subwoofer that comes with the limited or are they just trying to pull the wool over my eyes and this is the same subwoofer that is standard on the limited?

Thanks,

I have the Tribeca Limited but don't see any reference to a subwoofer anywhere in my Owners Manual and nobody mentioned it to me. There is nothing under the seats.

The sound is great for me, but I have a partial hearing loss, so I can't be an impartial judge. The bass sounds good and is actually better than I had with my 02 Legacy Outback. That car had a subwoofer under the seat, but it didn't do anything for me.

I would suggest a test drive with one of your CDs that has good bass and see if you like the sound. Try it with a Tribeca with and without the dealer subwoofer.

Yea - I just thought that up on the spur of the moment. Very original. :)
