abs question R&R ?

My abs light is on in my Acura Legend.

Is this just a remove and replace sensor kind of thing?

Just one R, not two. Remove the bulb and you are done. :)

You need to find out why the light is on. It could be something else besides a sensor.

Is there a way to find the code by counting the number of times it blinks or something?

of your diagnotic connector in order to make it flash your trouble codes. i,m sorry to say that my book which gives me the correct jumper settings is at work. bear with me and tomorrow i will reply to you with these . the most common problem is a faulty or dirty sensor which counts or reads the exiter rings on each wheel in an abs brake system. another common problem occurs when someone replaces the brake pads on an abs system and does not open the bleeder valves on the calipers when pushing the piston back. this allows fluid to travel back through the system and possibly cause the isolation valve or the dump valve to stick. try bleeding your brake system.

plainoldmechanic thanks.

I haven't bleed the brakes for a number of years. The last time was on a 1972 triumph spitfire which did not have power assisted breakes.

Here it the method I used back then:

1) start from the farest wheel cylinder and work to the closest. 2) using a clear tubing connect the tube from the nipple to a clear jar with brake fluid in it. 3) pump the pedal and hold, open the brake nipple. 4) continue until there are no air bubbles coming out. 5) make sure to replenish the brake fluid in the master cylinder as fluid exist the wheel cylinder. 6) repeat 3), 4), and 5) on the other wheel cylinders.

Does this work on power assisted breakes as well and my acura?
