Best car for me

I think Dodge Hemis sound the best. I need a new muffler for my 1983 Dodge van, 318 engine. (it isn't a Hemi) I want to buy a muffler that sounds good, something that isn't loud, but with a little Pizzaz to it.What kind of muffler should I buy? cuhulin

But...the Nova was a GREAT car! If GM were making them just like that now... "What's a Toyoty, Fred?"

I have a 1989 Subaru I paid $420 for (smoking material not included).

17,000 already since I bought it.

A 1989 Madza 626 for $150. 24,000 since I bought it 2 years ago.

a 1988 Supra. $600 in 2004. ??? miles since I bought it (probably 30,000; the ODOs broke). Gets 21 MPG. It's a Supra with a Sport Roof. Who Cares?!

Oh. A 2005 Scion tC, bought in 2006 with 11,200 on it. Now has 24,550. Goes faster than the Supra and gets 32MPG. These are selling for about $12000 now.

Something that passes emissions and niose levels?

Here in Mass, you can't have an exhaust more than 6dB louder than stock.

And, they prefer you have a stock exhaust. I know a guy that spent $550 for a complete FlowMaster system and had to remove it 6 months later.

That's a strange requirement. When I drive long distance, I rest my arms on my thighs. My thumbs keep in touch with the steering wheel. Sometimes I place my arms on the center console and on the door armrest, but that's temporary, for exercise.

In the Houston area that eliminates Accord unless it is a repaired wreck or has over 120k miles.

The other thing to consider of course is if you live in an area where you're required to have insurance, and/or it's your first car, a powerful engine is something to avoid.

Get a used Ford Crown Vic, Mercury Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car. Almost all police departments and taxi cabs use this car. To hold up to police and cab use they have to be durable. They have been around for a long time, easy to get parts for and should last for over 300,000 miles.

The mpg is not as good as a honda etc, but your overall cost of driving is less. Lower initial cost, cheaper insurance, the engines and transmissions are time tested and last forever.

PS: do not get a cadillac.

Visit your State's auto auctions. You might find some good deals there, ex-police cars too.A lot of cars are impounded every day. After a month or so, they are sold. cuhulin
