I need to clean the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor in my 1998 Ford Taurus. I have never done this before and do not have any experience with fixing cars. However, I want to give it a try as I read it isn't that hard to do. I read some articles on the internet that describe how this can be done for the general case. I wonder if there is any manual from Ford that describes how to reach the MAF sensor and take it out (the manual that came with the car does not say anything about this). Also, I was reading some posts on a forum about this and some people owning Ford cars wrote that they could not take the MAF sensor out as it was sealed. Is this true? In that case I would not try and waste time on this. Or is there still a way to get it out? Any advice will be of great help. Many thanks.
