Filling In Very Light Scratches ?

Hello,

Have a relatively new Outback, and has received some "light" scratches on the door panel, probably in parking lot.

Scratches are 2 to 3 inches long, and quite light (thin). Nowhere where I would consider re-painting the panel for.

But, annoying.

Was wondering if there is any product, very simple to use, that might fill them in ? They do seem to go thru the paint down to the metal.

Some kind of "wipe-on" paint perhaps that would not leave a new band of touch up paint next to the scratches due to the application.

Something just the scratch would "absorb" ?

Anything like this ? Best approach ? (wipe on tinted/colored waxes ?)

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

If they go to the metal you won't want just wax because it will start to rust without the paint (actually it has already started even if you can't see it yet)

If you plan on keeping the car you should just get a touch up pen in the correct color, scuff the bottom of the scratch then dab in some primer, then paint. If you're careful you can blend it in so it matches. Or take it to a detailer and have them do it. Most good ones will have the ability to do this type work.
