Meh. I'll miss Olds and Poncho just because of their history, but they've been only minimally interesting over the past few years. Saturns have been pretty much warmed over products of other divisions, and so was the only product out of all those brands that I would have actually bought (Sky/Solstice) Hummer again doesn't offer a unique product, only uglified versions of Chevy/GMC trucks. It actually makes sense, although I'll miss the rebadged Opels that now won't be sold here anymore.

Probably best to take the hit, and get it over with. The Hummer was, IMO, an answer to a question that was not asked.

Russia has a factory where they build similar armored versions of ''Hummers''.

Will Russia buy Hummer? Check out the sites there, you will it somewhere. cuhulin

Why would they want to buy Hummer, Cujo? They can make space vehicles, cars, jet planes....anything we can make, they can make a facsimile.

The mass of the people there cannot afford such a vehicle. There is not very much of a market for it here.

Just go ahead and engrave the tombstone..

No, not at all. They build something similar to the military HMMV, which bears no resemblance whatsoever to the H2 and H3.

What GM is selling off is basically an organization that makes macho-looking vehicles that are not suitable for offroad use, and which really has little practical use.

The organization that makes the HMMV (and which made the original H1 Hummer) is really totally unrelated. They actually make a useful product with a large market and make money off of it and that would probably be one of the last things that would ever get sold off.

They'd be stupid to do so. Mind you, the Russians have bought a lot of flashy crap with no substance before, so they may do it again.

I never have been interested in owning a Hummer, or even driving one around the block.I think they look dorky. There used to be a tv series about 17 or 18 something years ago, I don't remember the name of that tv series. One of the guys in those tv series programs drove a Hummer.Every time he put on the brakes, it looked like that Hummer was going to take forever to stop swaying back and forth. I do NOT ever want to own a Hummer! cuhulin

It was "THere's a sucker born every minute", IIRC, and it was P.T. Barnum.

Government Motors (GM) is talking to some potential/prospective buyers for Hummer. The reason I know that is because that lady reporter on local tv news would not tell a fib about that.I heard about it on local tv news.It is the truth.

Here is something for your reading pleasure,,,
