Install two coils increases gas mileage.

The sparks in my car isn't as strong as I want it to be. I have an ignition coil and an ignition module that I will hook up to the car. The coils will install in parallel.

The grounding of the other coil will trigger the second ignition module. This will give it two coils. I thought maybe two coils are stronger than one and should increase gas mileage. Will this work?

Is it at factory correct specs now?

Unless the ignition system is not powerful enough to ignite the fuel properly and is misfiring (in which case there's probably something broken), this is not going to help anything.

If you light the fuse on a stick of dynamite with a blowtorch instead of a match, will you get a bigger explosion?

Unless your engine is misfiring now, no amount of extra strong spark buys you anything.

That is not correct. If both coils are identical the output will be same voltage with twice the available current. This is assuming that the primary driving circuitry can handle the job which I doubt. The idea of paralleling the coils is not a good one. Tibur should explain how did he determine that the coil "isn't as strong as I want it to be"

If your coil is defective, replace it. Firing the fuel charge a second time won't make one whit of difference.

How have you determined that the spark is not enough to do the job?

Honda is much better equipped and much more knowledgeable about this than you are so I would consult with them before you go off on a half-baked idea of your own.

"Half-baked"...

A damn good description of every post I've seen from this "Tibur" guy so far.

First it was trying to use a welder to jump-start a car. BRILLIANT... ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Not...

Now double coils... What's next Tibur? A car that runs on oatmeal?

That's not necessarily true. If you have ever been in a small plane and switched from one mag to another to both you will notice an instant RPM change.

Isn't it exciting to see me fry something. :-) I fried an $800 PC, $600 motor, $500 laptop, $300 DVD player. List goes on. You might think, "This guy is making a fool of himself," but no, actually, I gain experience. I fix half the stuff I break and succeed.

`Being bored is harmful in several ways, explained Caruba, who founded his institute 17 years ago to educate the public on the dangers of boredom.

It's a major cause of depression - which can lead to suicide.

Boredom, which hits people of all ages, "shuts the mind down, limiting your ability to recognize positive ways of coping," noted Caruba.

Caruba warns that depression also can weaken the body's immune system, making people susceptible to serious illness.

Fortunately, there are simple steps you can take to combat boredom and its deadly consequences.

First, reach out to other people to develop and strengthen relationships. Connect with others by smiling and hugging. Maintain goals - always have things you want to learn or do and projects to work on.

And remember, no matter how busy you are, regularly make time for friends and family. Isolation leads to boredom. Stay in touch with others.'

Here, take a look at the contraption circuits:

-move mouse over pic- The coil isn't as strong as I want it to be because the sparks are very faint compared to other cars. It looks blue-orange and you could see right thru them. It's amazing that it burns fuel and not missing, actually it was missing couple days earlier until I replace with new plugs.

Normally it shouldn't miss because I only had the plugs (the ones taken out) 7-8-thousand miles. The new coil contraption was meant as a diagnostic jig... or perhaps, increase gas mileage.

That would work since you included the ignition module, assuming that the pickup can drive two ignition modules. For a stock car I see no point.

Blue orange? That is a hot spark. How long is it? It could be that the ignition wire insulation or the distributor is breaking down. Change those first.

Here is a hot spark that I made once.

And despite the fact that the "exhaust" can stick to your shoes, quite a nice ride :)

good point, but if second coil was delayed a few milliseconds it might be interesting.
