Does any one out there know of a simple way to run an extension cord to the interior of a 2005 Buick Allure, for plugging in a interior heater

Select a cord long enough to reach from the nearest outlet to the vehicle. Make sure to route the cord so nobody will trip on it, and check to be certain the cord is rated to handle the amount of current your interior heater will take. Plug one end of the extension cord into the outlet. Plug the heater into the other end. Make sure you pick the correct end for each of these two steps, or you'll have a difficult time of things. Close the car door and walk away.

...Or did you need a simpler procedure than this?

A ribbon type extension cord should not be damaged if you just put it through the door and close it carefully. In most of these cars, there is plenty of room for such a cord to pass between the weatherseal and the metal. (There is no metal to metal seal in these doors, and about the only place you might get some damage is if you threaded the cord through the area where the latch is positioned.)

But, there are special wire adaptors which give you a plug under the hood or front bumper, leading through the firewall and into the cars interior. I never went to the trouble to install one of these, although they are quite convenient once you have them in place.
