Kia Sephia - Bad fuel leak

I noticed a gas smell last week and though tthat I had spilled some while refueling...now I see that I have a leak. When the car is running there is a leak of about one drop per second. It is coming from a cylinder that is just in front of the rear right tire. the cylinder is black, about 4 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Is this a fuel filter? Does anyone know how much it would cost to fix it?

If it has rubber connections, maybe one clamp came loose. If metal fittings, maybe it just needs a tighten.

If the cylinder itself it leaking, change it. It sure sounds like the gas filter and is a pretty easy job.

Maybe someone loosened the fuel filter nut to check for pressure. If they did so you need a new aluminium washer. They are sold as four for a buck.
